Plans cost $1.40 per day for anyone up to the age of 49.  From age 50-59, the rate is $2.00 per day, and from age 60-65, $3.30 per day.  Each policy opened costs additional $4.00.

The policy covers:

  • Full hospital coverage up to 90 days hospitalization.
  • Each doctor’s visit will cost $10.00 by holder.  Visits are covered providing a doctor on Harel’s list is used.

  •  Full coverage on blood test, x-rays, e.k.g., plaster casts and bandaging providing done at a clinic listed on Harel’s policy.

  • Coverage on medications up to $200.00.  First 45.00 to be paid by holder.

  • Coverage on emergency dental care of up to $200.00.  There is a deductible (not listed) and coverage is for the period of the policy only.  Dentist must be listed on Policy.
  • Repatriation of mortal remains back to country of domicile up to $5000.
  • There is no coverage for disability caused by accident and no coverage for flight ticket to country of origin.

The charge per month for individuals from the age of 3 to 65 is $48.00.  Femi does not have coverage for children under 3 years old.  The coverage is for 4 months at a time and must be paid 4 months in advance.  

The policy covers:

  • Medical expenses up to US $50.000.
  • Personal accidents benefit in case of accidental death or accidental permanent total disablement up to $10,000.
  • Repatriation of mortal remains back to country of domicile up to $5,000.
  • Evacuation back to country of residence according to medical necessity.

The policy does not cover: pre-existing condition, malignant and chronic illnesses, work accidents, road accidents, events related to competitive sports, use of alcohol and/or drugs, events related to pregnancy, events related to self inflicted injury, preventive/periodic/routine check-ups.

Family policy costs between NIS 1,000-1,200 per month.  For a single from age 18 - 55 costs between NIS 500-800 per month.

There is no coverage for tourists over the age of 55 and all policyholders must sign a declaration that they are healthy and free of serious medical problems.  Payments are made 6 months in advance.  The health coverage covers hospitalization and the general health basket as laid out by the Ministry of Health.  Women, who become pregnant 4 months after taking out Meuhedet's insurance, will be covered for medical check ups but not for childbirth.  Further details can be obtained from the new members department: Tel: 02-5678555. Maccabi insures up to the age of 60.  Each case is decided on an individual basis and priced on individual merits, whether it is an individual or family.  All applicants must go through a medical examination beforehand.  Cost per month can range from NIS 500 upwards.
