AACI E-Book Library Now Includes Harper Collins Titles
Jerusalem- The AACI members now have free access to books published by Harper Collins through the Sharon Woodrow Memorial E-Book Library. Open to members of the organization, the library is the first English-language virtual library in Israel and one of the first e-book libraries in any language in the country.
In noting that, “we have just added Harper Collins Publishing as an additional resource, making the catalog even broader and deeper than it was before,” Brian Downing, President of Library Ideas, is excited about being able to answer the call from English-speaking readers in Israel for the kind of access to e-books that they are accustomed to through their public libraries in their countries of origin.
David London, executive director of AACI, expressed thanks to the family of Sharon Woodrow, particularly her sister, Diane Romm, who approached the organization with the idea of the e-book library. A native of New York and an avid reader, Sharon married Paul Glaser and moved with him to Haifa in 1990, where she passed away in 2014.
