AACI will host a major art exhibit entitled JERUSALEM – A CITY FOR THE AGES  in honor of the 50th Anniversary of the reunification of the city. A festive opening event will be held on May 8, 2017 at 18:00 at the AACI-Dr. Max & Gianna Glassman Family Cente.  The show will remain on display until the end of June.
26 contemporary Israeli artists will participate in the show displaying paintings, collage, calligraphy, and photography in a wide range of styles.  Included will be works which reflect the spiritual essence of the city and its holy sites, the incomparable beauty of this unique area, and the current day-to-day “vibe” of a modern, municipal center of close to 1 million people.
The artists who are originally from the United States, England, South Africa, Australia, Mexico, and France, are a diverse group with varying backgrounds.  What unites them is their love for Jerusalem and the desire to share that love via art.
A commemorative catalog will represent each of the artists in the show and a statement from each about the work exhibited, as well as an introductory essay by Dr. Shulamit Laderman which discusses the exhibition within the context of the 50th anniversary events.
This exhibition and catalog are sponsored by Annatel, a provider of mobile and internet services, and a new partner of AACI.
