The Association of Americans and Canadians in Israel's (AACI) program GROUP PILOT TRIP PROGRAM is for people who are considering aliyah. A group pilot trip can be considered the most important business trip of your life. It is a one week tour-lecture program that incorporates community visits (over 10-12), lectures by professionals who were once olim (new immigrants) themselves on every topic imaginable (over 12 topics), including Banking in Israel, Navigating the Medical/Health Care System, Working the Educational System in Israel, Your Aliyah Benefits and Privileges, Shipping, Insurances and Investments, Job Hunting and Employment Networking, Religious life in Israel, and much much more.
The trip includes visiting communities where a private host/hostess gives the group a tour of their community and a chance to meet with representatives from that community who tell about life in that community, including the cost of housing, types of schools, accessibility to shopping, public transportation and the population make-up of English speakers, Israelis, religious character and age demographics.
The Jewish Agency and Nefesh B’Nefesh urge all potential olim to participate in a group pilot trip prior to aliyah because the ease of integration and satisfaction with choice of community is greatly enhanced for olim. A GROUP PILOT TRIP has advantages over a private trip. The people you meet and with whom you network, the information that is given to you over the course of the week and the employment connections that you build prior to aliyah is invaluable.
AACI entrusts your pre-aliyah needs and every question to professionals. The entire klitah (absorption) department staff team backs co-directors Ilene Bloch Levy and Ronda Israel who have developed the format and perfect details for making a pre-aliyah Group Pilot Trip a success. The information they share with you and the manner in which they conduct the trips are professional, warm and informative. The trips are formulated with the participant’s needs in mind. The itinerary is based on what you think you are looking for with regard to housing cost and availability, location, religious and educational needs but also exposes you to the newest upcoming community opportunities of which you may not be aware.
Keep in mind that the cost ($750 per person is based on double occupancy) of a pilot trip includes all meals, lodging, ground transportation with the group and all informational packets and job counseling with AACI employment experts. It does not include airfare.
If you want to put together a community pilot trip of 10 or more families AACI will put together an airfare package for the group and give your group its own date for the trip.
Be wise and prepare for the most important move of your life with the best information available. Let AACI Group Pilot Trip Program be the first move you make toward aliyah and let us be the first to welcome you home!!
Members of AACI are given a 5% discount on their Group Pilot Trip program.
