The Complete History of America: Abridged                              Hadassah Art Gallery Opening

Solidarity: Packages for Lone Soldiers

The Complete History of America: Abridged

Center Stage Theater is proud to announce its newest upcoming production, entitled: “The Complete History of America: Abridged.”

Under the direction of Center Stage Theater’s Artistic Director Rafi Poch, and starring Ethan Chernofsky, Josh Becker, Molly Livingstone and Micheal Hantler. Performances will be taking place on September.11th at 8 pm. Tickets are on-sale now.

This hysterical play written by Adam Long, Reed Martin & Austin Tichenor, who make up “The Reduced Shakespeare Company” is a fantastic satirical work on the history of America and is rousingly funny. The name says it all. But don’t take my word for it, here’s what some other people had to say….

“It’s like being trapped in history class on the last day of high school with the teacher out sick (or tied up in a locker) while the brightest and most irreverent kids gleefully skewer everything you ever learned.”

-Washington Post

“This is smash and grab history-comedy at its brashest, delivered with breakneck speed by three hilarious performers. Nothing on the

liberal-conservative spectrum escapes. Inspired lunacy.”

-Cleveland Plain Dealer

“What the Daily Show might be like if it were hosted by the Marx Brothers. ”

-Boston Herald

 When: August 31st, September 1st, 3rd, 4th, 7th, 8th, 10th and 11th, at 8 pm

Where: Merkaz Hamagshimim Hadassah’s Center Stage Theater, Rechov Dor Dor VeDorshav 7a, German Colony, Jerusalem

Cost: 50 shekel for general admission tickets, 40 shekel for students, soldiers, NBN members, AACI members, and Hadassah members. 30 Shekel for Merkaz members.

For Tickets and information call: 02-561-9165 ext 5, or email CST@themerkaz.org

Hadassah Art Gallery Opening
"Path" is the result of two art lovers meeting in Jerusalem: architect Fabio Rosenthal Kahn and product designer Giancarlo Gierse Del Grande.

Both are new immigrants from Sao Paulo, Brazil. Their work pays attention to the small details that we miss and the people that are ignored in our daily lives. The process changed their own perceptions and observations about Israel and Egypt. "Paths", the first joint photographic exhibition from Fabio and Giancarlo, is a result of this conversion of processes in Israel
from which more artistic expression is set to follow.
Be sure not to miss the opening of this exhibition on September 4th, 7pm, at The Merkaz. Light refreshments will be served.

Solidarity: Packages for Lone Soldiers
Join us on September 21st to prepare and send care packages to lone soldiers.

IS FINALLY IN ISRAEL. After waiting three years to open one in Jerusalem, Sabena Basch is the proud owner of one of the four CURVES currently in Israel. CURVES is in Jerusalem as well as Tel Aviv, Ramat Aviv and Ra'anana.
In one month the members have lost approximately 4 kilo and 18 centimeters each.

At
CURVES, not only does one lose weight and centimeters, tone, tighten and shape their body, but, most importantly, they aid members in maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

CURVES is a fun place, too. Prizes are constantly given in the form of "CURVES KESSEF" to be redeemed for: t-shirts, bags, caps and more. It is earned by: losing weight, inches, having a friend sign up, or with weekly promos such as: bringing candles for Yom Hazikaron, purple week (one has to wear purple), Dietetic cheese cake recipe for Shavuot, etc. There is a instructor in the center guiding and assisting members on the machines, as well as doing aerobics exercises to which members can follow along.  Curves works with the women on lifestyle change - not diet, which is temporary.

They are in a 140 square meter, air conditioned space with free parking. The hours are: 7:00 AM - 9:00 PM Sunday through Thursday and 7:00 AM - 1:00 PM on Fridays.

You don't have to lose ten pounds before you feel you can join, and you don't have to worry about men staring at you while you work out. As one of the franchisees says, "It's our girl power half hour."

A common complaint of woman is that they just don't have time to exercise. The Curves 30-Minute Complete Workout provides the solution. The hydraulic resistance strength training machines allow you to perform cardiovascular and strength training at the same time. For thirty minutes you move around the circuit, changing stations every thirty second. You need not rush to a class or worry about a schedule. When you show up, your workout begins. Just jump in anywhere there is a station open and move at the same time and in the same direction as everyone else. Strength and cardiovascular training are performed simultaneously.
